Halloween 2011

The Saturday before Halloween, our town held a Halloween Walk along Main Street. All the businesses participated and gave out candy to thousands of trick-or-treaters! After soccer that morning, Anna the Star Fairy (from her favorite Rainbow Magic book series) and Superman headed over to Main Street to join in the festivities. Once we arrived, it started to snow! The kids thought it was fantastic that it was snowing before Halloween!

We got home from the Halloween walk just in time...the snow was coming down fast!

The storm brought a lot of snow, knocking out electricity for 8 days and canceling school for the week. Because of the amount of downed wires and trees, our town officially cancelled Halloween.  But that didn't stop us from having fun!  On Halloween day, the kids dressed up and went trick-or-treating inside Nana and Grandad's house (by flashlight of course since power was out!)  It was a very fun and memorable Halloween!
