Anna's Holiday Party

Today was Anna's holiday party at school! Daddy surprised Anna and came to the party! When we arrived at the school, each child handed their parents a program and then escorted them to their seats. We then enjoyed a wonderful concert of holiday songs and a class presentation of the Russian folktale "The Mitten" (Anna's part was the owl)

After a delicious snack of cheese, fruit, cookies and juice, the children were surprised with a special visit from Santa; who knew details of each child in the class and had a special gift for everyone! It was a great party!

Anna's class...
Anna singing the holiday songs...

Saying the class blessing before snack...
Santa! He knew that Anna had a younger brother named Jake and that butterflies decorate her bedroom...how does he know that?!?
Anna had been busy at school these past few days working on a special project that was a secret! Today she presented the gift to us...a wall hanging of a wreath made out her handprints!
Opening the present from her teachers...her own copy of "The Mitten"!

Merry CHRISTmas Anna. Looks like your mommy and daddy have found a wonderful school for you. Which one is it? The light in your eyes, helps remind adults of the reason for the season. Not shopping, not presents however its time with family and love for those around us. Merry CHRISTmas Anna!
